Henley is  delighted to announce a special award for the October 2015 intake: the Henley Business School 70th Anniversary Scholarship, to celebrate 70 years since the founding of the School.

About the Scholarship  


A scholarship is financial support awarded by an academic institution to a student on the basis of academic merit. A key consideration in  selection of Henley’s Executive MBA Scholarship awards will therefore be the degree to which they believe the candidate will make a significant contribution to the quality of the Henley MBA program.

Selection Criteria for This Scholarship   


To be considered for this scholarship student must have applied for the Henley Executive MBA and submit a short essay of no more than 800 words addressing the following heading:

‘How do you plan to use your Henley MBA to shape the future of business?'


Candidates will additionally be assessed for this scholarship on the following:

Academic merit: it is likely that award winners will have a PhD, Master’s degree, or either a UK first-class Honours Degree or its international equivalent from a reputable, leading University or academic institution;

Leadership potential: please attach your CV detailing your career history and ongoing professional or academic development; and by the demonstration of values and attributes that match Henley’s in their application. 

How to Apply


First, please submit your application for the Henley Executive MBA.

Once you have submitted your application, please email your essay and up-to-date CV (if not previously submitted with your application) to Henley Business School: mba@henley.ac.uk.

Candidates should note that Henley will only award one scholarship per person; however you are invited to apply for multiple scholarships.

Deadlines and Notification for this Scholarship


The entry deadline is midnight on 31 July 2015.

Henley has an initial scholarship fund of £70,000 available to applicants who have applied for a place on the Executive MBA and submitted their scholarship application by midnight on 31 July 2015.

The fund is available for outstanding candidates and will take the form of a reduction in fees on enrollment.
Scholarships cannot be transferred to another intake if a student chooses to defer their entry.

Scholarship aspiring student must attach his/her CV, which details career history and ongoing professional or academic development, a 500-word personal statement demonstrating his/her academic excellence and personal skills and a covering letter explaining the reasons for applying.

Scholarship application will only be reviewed once a full unconditional offer of a place on the 2015 Full-time MBA program has been made by the Admissions team, so program applications must be submitted in plenty of time to be processed in advance of the scholarship deadline.

Application Procedures:

Applicants should request information and application forms from the chosen Academic Institution(s). Applicants are encouraged to access various resources, including the institutions' websites and handbooks for more information.
Applicants should indicate to the academic institution that they are applying for admission and that they would like to be considered for the ADB-JSP Scholarship. The completed Institution application form and required documentation, including the ADB-JSP Information Sheet form, should be submitted to the academic institution. Applicants are required to submit their latest Income Tax Return or Certification of their Annual Salary/Monthly Salary, whichever is available. They should also submit a Certification of Family Income (Parent's Income).
The academic institution will screen and rank the applicants, based on its own selection criteria, keeping in view the eligibility requirements and selection criteria of the ADB. In the evaluation process, the academic institution may contact the candidates for further information. The academic institution will then submit its ranked list of applicants to ADB, including a description of the score/grading system which is the basis for the ranking.
ADB will review the submission from the academic institutions and recommend awardees based on the selection criteria of ADB to the Executive Director of Japan for formal approval.
Upon approval by the Executive Director of Japan, ADB will advise academic institutions on the successful candidates.
The academic institution will inform all applicants of the outcome of the selection process and begin to make arrangements for the awardees take up their scholarships.
The academic institutions will arrange for the signing of the Acceptance of Scholarship Award by awardee wherein the scholars agree that after completion of their study, they will return to their home country.
ADB will send an appropriate congratulatory letter to each scholar.
Applications for scholarships should be sent at least six months prior to the planned time that you wish to commence studies.

Important

No separate application to ADB is necessary.
The duly accomplished information sheet together with all copies of academic records should be sent to the institution at least six (6) months before the commencement of the intake that you wish to join.
